1. Daktari Online


Daktari Online is an independent multi-specialty healthcare content development company based in Nairobi, Kenya. It is an accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provider by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).

Daktari Online provides clinical and practice education for GPs, Clinical Officers and other primary healthcare professionals, through online CPD. It supports learning goals for appraisal and re-licensure, by delivering relevant content created by experts in easy-to-access formats and helping healthcare providers to gather evidence of their learning. Its learning content is written by GPs and specialists and reviewed by our in-house GP advisers and experts passionate about their areas of clinical interest.

The partnership between MSAKE and Daktari Online has seen the establishment of the RePub Project, which is a research project with a publication journal with a goal to promote and nurture research and publication amongst medical students in Kenya by building capacity in research and provide them with an affordable, accessible and effective means of sharing their research while fostering a global connection for the enhancement of knowledge in health sciences.

During this COVID-19 Pandemic period, Daktari Online continues to work with MSAKE through hosting of our weekly webinar series on the company’s webinar platform, which has greatly contributed to the success of the COVID-19 Taskforce webinar sub-committee.

2. Kenya Medical Association (KMA)


The Kenya Medical Association is a national association of doctors and dentists and is mandated by its members to promote the quality practice of medicine in Kenya. KMA holds a strategic position in health sector policy by being in membership of national decision-making boards for the practice of medicine and the protection of patients in Kenya. KMA is using its national professional reach as the only sector player where professionals can bring their input for personnel matters.

KMA has had many opportunities to work with MSAKE in different capacities. For a great number of years, MSAKE has acted as the link between the medical students’ fraternity and the professional society through working with KMA.

3. Kenyan Doctors USA (KEDU)


Kenyan Doctors USA (KEDU) is an organization founded by a team of U.S.- based Kenyan physicians to provide an opportunity for connection. Their objectives are to create a discourse among physicians working clinically and in academic positions across the U.S., to engage with medical or health-related organizations and programs in Kenya, as well as provide a platform for new Kenyans joining the U.S. physician community to network and gain access to resources available from predecessors. They pride themselves on advancing clinical, educational and research capacity for those in our community.

KEDU’s partnership with MSAKE was officialised on 20th March 2020 during the first partnership meeting. This partnership entails collaboration in the various MSAKE activities and projects, as well as provision of mentorship to our MSAKE members. KEDU has developed a mentorship database for our members and provided a pool of reviewers to the RePub Journal. KEDU also helps the association in fundraising and grant applications aimed at achieving financial stability of MSAKE.

4. Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU)


Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) is the trade union that represents all Kenyan doctors in employment and labour relations with an aim of improving doctors’ welfare. The union is actively engaged in health advocacy with an objective of ensuring Kenyans have access to high-quality healthcare with emphasis on the public health sector. Vision - to become one of the most effective and self-reliant Medical Doctors’ Trade Union in the world.

Mission - to unite doctors of all cadres for quality service, socio-economic improvement and professional advancement and strengthen their collective bargaining power and promote quality health care.

MSAKE continues to work with KMPDU in the provision of mentorship to our members in their preparation for professional life after medical school.
